The Dashboard brings together important information from across the platform, helping you identify areas that need attention and decide what to work on next.
1. Selecting a Website or Controller
Every website connected to SimplifyAccess is managed through a controller. Each controller maintains its own configuration, website pages, accessibility results, and processing data.
If your account manages multiple websites, you can switch between controllers:
Desktop: Use the controller dropdown in the top navigation bar.
Mobile: Open the navigation menu and select the desired controller.
The Dashboard always displays information for the currently selected controller. Switching controllers changes the data shown throughout the Dashboard.
The active domain is displayed prominently in the main Dashboard card.
2. Website Accessibility Health
The first Dashboard card provides a quick overview of your website's accessibility health.
Overall Accessibility Score
The circular indicator displays the current overall accessibility score as a percentage, accompanied by a status label such as Good.
The score provides a high-level assessment based on the accessibility results available for the selected website.
A higher score generally indicates fewer issues detected by automated accessibility checks.
Important: A high accessibility score does not guarantee full compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG. Automated testing cannot identify every accessibility barrier and should be complemented by manual testing.
Understanding the Key Metrics
Four additional indicators accompany the accessibility score:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Audited | Number of pages with completed accessibility audits compared with the total number of pages included in the current overview. |
| Coverage | Percentage of known website pages covered by accessibility audits. |
| Critical | Number of errors currently classified as critical. |
| Affected | Number of elements affected by detected accessibility issues. |
These indicators help distinguish between the accessibility condition of a website and the completeness of its audit coverage.
For example, a website might have a good accessibility score while several pages remain unaudited. Reviewing coverage alongside the score gives a more meaningful picture.
For page-level findings, detailed audit results, and remediation workflows, explore Site Workspace.
3. Dashboard Actions and Navigation
The main Dashboard card includes controls for refreshing the overview and accessing related platform areas.
Refresh Dashboard
Use the refresh icon in the upper-right corner to retrieve updated Dashboard information.
This is particularly useful after completing accessibility audits or other processing tasks.
Refreshing the Dashboard does not automatically generate or update the AI analysis summary.
Additional Actions
Open the three-dot menu to access the following options:
Open Site Workspace: Navigate to the website's page inventory, individual page details, accessibility audits, and supported content workflows.
Widget Settings: Configure the accessibility widget and its visitor-facing features for the selected website.
Report Center: Access accessibility reporting and available report-generation options.
These shortcuts allow you to move from the Dashboard overview into the relevant working area.

4. AI Analysis
The AI Analysis section provides a structured interpretation of your website's accessibility and content-processing data.
Rather than reviewing individual results one by one, you can use this analysis to identify important findings, suggested improvements, and recommended next steps.
Generating an AI Analysis
AI analysis is generated on demand and is not updated automatically.
When opening this section for the first time, you must manually initiate the generation process.
After an analysis has been generated, the Dashboard displays the stored result until you choose to update it.
To obtain a new analysis, select Regenerate AI Analysis.
This is particularly useful after completing new audits, processing additional pages, or resolving identified accessibility issues.
The generation process uses the information available for the selected controller at the time of the request.
Note: The AI analysis is a snapshot. Its scores, findings, and recommendations may differ from the current Dashboard metrics if website data has changed since the last generation.
Website Accessibility Summary
The main summary provides an AI-generated overview of your website's accessibility condition.
Depending on the available data, it may discuss:
Overall accessibility performance
Audit coverage and processing completeness
Detected accessibility issues
Readiness of simplified or plain-language content
Areas that could benefit from further improvement
This summary helps you understand the broader condition of the website without having to interpret every individual audit result.
Key Findings
The Key Findings section highlights noteworthy observations from the analyzed website data.
Findings may include accessibility problems, successful audit results, incomplete processing, or opportunities for improvement.
Where applicable, a finding may include supporting evidence or a priority indicator.
Priority Actions
The Priority Actions section identifies recommended improvements that deserve attention.
Each action may include an explanation, a proposed solution, a suggested responsible team or area, and an estimated effort level.
These suggestions can help website owners, content editors, and development teams plan their next steps.
Analysis Confidence
The Analysis Confidence indicator describes how confidently the available information supports the generated assessment.
Confidence may depend on factors such as audit coverage, processing completeness, and the availability of relevant website data.
A high confidence level indicates that the analysis has a comparatively strong data foundation. It does not mean that every accessibility issue has been detected.
Recommended Next 7 Days
This section provides practical suggestions for the coming week, based on the findings and priorities identified during the analysis.
These recommendations are intended to assist with planning. They do not represent scheduled tasks, automatically triggered processes, or mandatory deadlines.
Keeping Your Analysis Current
The generation timestamp at the bottom of the section indicates when the current analysis was created.
For meaningful recommendations, consider regenerating the analysis after substantial website changes or newly completed audits.
AI-generated recommendations should be reviewed by your team before making decisions. They support accessibility management but do not replace expert evaluation or manual testing.
5. Widget & Controller
The Widget & Controller card displays technical connection information for the selected website.
Widget Status
The Widget Status indicator shows the reported connection state of the SimplifyAccess widget.
A connected status indicates that the platform recognizes the widget connection. It does not independently guarantee that every widget feature is working correctly on every page.
For more information about the visitor-facing integration, see the Accessibility Widget.
Domain Match
The Domain Match indicator shows whether the connected website domain matches the controller's expected configuration.
This is particularly relevant when installing the widget or changing a website's domain.
Controller ID
Every controller has a unique identifier.
The Controller ID is displayed in a dedicated field, with a copy button for convenient access.
You may need this identifier when configuring an integration or communicating with SimplifyAccess support.
Accessibility Statement
Two additional actions are available:
Edit Statement: Open the accessibility statement editor for the selected website.
Download Statement: Download the available accessibility statement.
For instructions on updating the company and contact details associated with an accessibility statement, see How to Update Company Details in the Accessibility Statement.
You can also explore the Accessibility Statements product page for an overview of the available statement features and formats.
6. Usage and Resource Limits
The Usage card provides an overview of the selected controller's resource consumption and applicable limits.
Usage is displayed using numeric counters and progress indicators.
Depending on your plan, the card may include:
| Resource | Description |
|---|---|
| API Calls | Number of API requests counted against the displayed allowance. |
| Jobs | Processing jobs consumed against the available allowance. |
| Reports | Generated reports counted against the applicable limit. |
| Maximum Pages | Number of website pages counted against the controller's page allowance. |
| Email usage counted against the applicable allowance. |
Each indicator shows the current usage relative to its limit.
For resources with a recurring allowance, the card also displays the applicable reset date.
Usage limits and available features depend on your subscription and controller configuration. Not every account has the same allowances.
Review this card when planning larger processing tasks, website expansion, or additional reporting activity.
7. Domain Risk Summary
The Domain Risk Summary provides a compact overview of accessibility-related risks identified across the selected website.
Unlike the overall accessibility score, this card focuses on findings that may require further attention.
Understanding the Indicators
Compliance Risk: An overall risk classification based on the available accessibility findings.
Affected Elements: Number of affected elements included in the risk assessment.
Average Affected per Failing Page: Average number of affected elements on pages with identified failures.
Pages with Compliance Failures: Number of pages containing detected compliance-related issues.
Risk Impact: A numerical indicator of the assessed impact of the identified risks.
Together, these values help you understand not only whether issues exist, but also how extensively they affect the audited website.
A low risk classification does not constitute a legal compliance certification. The assessment reflects the information available through the platform's checks.
To investigate individual findings and determine appropriate remedies, open the relevant page in Site Workspace.
8. What Should You Do Next?
The Dashboard is designed to help you understand your website's current condition and decide where to focus your efforts.
A useful workflow is:
Confirm the controller: Make sure you are viewing the intended website.
Review accessibility health: Check the overall score, audit coverage, and affected pages.
Examine potential risks: Use the Domain Risk Summary to identify areas requiring attention.
Generate or update your AI analysis: Obtain an overview of findings and recommended priorities.
Investigate individual pages: Open Site Workspace to review accessibility results and available remediation guidance.
Review your integration and resources: Check the Widget & Controller and Usage cards.
Document your progress: Use reporting features to communicate accessibility results and improvements.
Accessibility management is an ongoing process. As website content changes, regular audits and reviews help you identify newly introduced barriers and evaluate improvements.
