You can change an active SimplifyAccess subscription directly from the Subscriptions section of the Account page.

A plan can be upgraded when additional features are needed or downgraded when a smaller plan is sufficient.

You do not need to complete a new checkout form. The change is processed using the payment method and payment authorization already connected to the active subscription.

Open the subscription settings

  1. Sign in to SimplifyAccess.

  2. Select Account from the top navigation.

  3. Locate the Subscriptions card.

  4. Find the active subscription you want to change.

  5. Select the edit button beside the subscription.

The Change Current Plan panel opens from the right side of the page.

Review your current plan

The panel identifies the subscription currently assigned to the account.

Before making a change, confirm that you are editing the intended subscription, especially when your account contains additional domain subscriptions.

Select a new plan

Open the plan selection field and choose the desired subscription plan.

Depending on the selected option, the change may be either:

  • An upgrade to a plan with additional functionality

  • A downgrade to a smaller plan with fewer included features

Review the features of the new plan before confirming the change. A downgrade may remove access to functionality that is not included in the selected plan.

Understand prorated billing

Changing a plan may affect the current or next billing period.

When upgrading:

  • An additional prorated charge may apply.

  • The existing subscription payment authorization is used.

  • No separate checkout form is required.

When downgrading:

  • Any applicable overpayment may be credited or prorated toward the next billing period.

  • The timing of the plan change and credit depends on the remaining subscription period.

The change panel displays an important billing notice before you continue.

Accept the plan-change terms

Before submitting the change:

  1. Read the information shown in the panel.

  2. Review the selected replacement plan.

  3. Activate the confirmation switch to accept the plan-change terms.

  4. Select Change & Purchase.

The action cannot be completed until the terms have been accepted.

Payment processing

SimplifyAccess uses the payment method already connected to the subscription.

You are therefore not normally asked to:

  • Enter card details again

  • Open a separate Stripe checkout

  • Create a new payment authorization

  • Purchase a second independent subscription

Any required prorated payment is charged through the existing subscription billing arrangement.

Verify the updated subscription

After the change has been processed, return to the Subscriptions card.

Confirm that it shows:

  • The new plan name

  • The active subscription status

  • The updated recurring price

You should also review the next invoice or payment-history entry when it becomes available.

Before downgrading

Before selecting a smaller plan, check whether the current controller uses features that are not included in the new plan.

A downgrade may affect access to plan-limited functionality, including advanced content or processing features.

Changing the subscription plan does not automatically create a new controller or additional domain subscription. Those are managed separately.
