The SimplifyAccess widget gives visitors choices for reading and using the current website. A visitor can adjust text, change visual presentation, or open a tool without changing the website for everyone else.

The website owner decides which options are offered. Your panel may therefore contain fewer controls than those described in these guides.

Open the widget

  1. Select the accessibility button on the website.
  2. Expand the section you need in the panel.
  3. Select a setting, profile, or helper.
  4. Close the panel when you want more room to view the page.

Closing the panel is different from resetting your adjustments. To remove an adjustment, turn that feature off or use Reset.

Understand the three main areas

  • Accessibility Profiles apply a prepared combination of settings.
  • Settings provide individual adjustments, such as Font Size and Highlight Links.
  • Helper provides tools with their own interaction or reading view, such as Page Structure and Simplified Page.

The backoffice uses additional configuration groups. Those groups describe how the website owner enables functions; they do not always match the sections visitors see.

Change individual settings

Some controls are switches. Selecting Highlight Links, for example, turns highlighting on; selecting it again turns it off.

Other controls cycle through levels. Select Font Size repeatedly to try its three enlargement levels and then return to the original size. Check the active label or indicator after each selection. A second step does not always mean a stronger effect: Contrast includes both increased and reduced contrast.

Try one change at a time. For example, increase the font size first, then add line spacing if the text still feels crowded.

Personalize the panel

The theme button changes the widget panel's appearance. Page brightness and contrast are separate settings that affect website content.

Where enabled, the language button changes the widget interface language. The information button opens built-in guidance. The statement link provides access to the website's configured accessibility statement.

Reset the experience

Select Reset to clear the widget's accessibility adjustments and start again. If an animated page component does not resume after motion controls are turned off, reload the page with those controls off.

Visitor choices are browser-based; do not expect another browser or device to have the same choices.
