The Content Readiness card in Site Workspace provides an overview of the alternative content available for your website.
Rather than displaying results for individual pages, it summarizes content-processing progress across the entire website associated with your controller.
The card helps you understand how much of your website's content has been prepared for additional accessibility features.
1. Where to Find Content Readiness
Open Site Workspace and select the relevant website controller.
The Content Readiness card appears in the right-hand overview area, below Pages Needing Attention.
It is available for subscriptions that include the relevant content-processing capabilities.
Learn more about these features on the Site Workspace product page.
2. Understanding the Five Indicators
The card displays five content categories, each with a progress bar and numerical values.
| Indicator | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Content extracted | Pages whose original content has been successfully extracted |
| Simplified content | Pages with generated simplified content available |
| Plain language | Pages with completed plain-language versions |
| Transcribed media | Pages with available media transcriptions |
| Translations | Pages with available translated content |
Each indicator represents the availability of the corresponding content across the selected website.
Understanding the Numbers
Most indicators show the number of pages with available results compared with the total number of known website URLs.
For example:
Simplified content: 53 / 64 — 83%
This means simplified content is available for 53 of the website's 64 known URLs.
The Transcribed media indicator works slightly differently: it compares pages with available transcriptions against pages identified as containing relevant media.
For example:
Transcribed media: 4 / 10 — 40%
This means four pages have transcription results, out of ten pages identified as containing media.
If no relevant media pages have been identified, the indicator may display 0 / 0. This does not necessarily indicate missing accessibility work.
Progress Bar Colors
The progress bars provide a visual indication of coverage
Important! The colors represent processing completeness, not the quality of the generated content or its compliance with accessibility standards.
3. Content Availability vs. Publication
Content Readiness shows whether alternative content has been generated and is available within SimplifyAccess.
It does not indicate whether the content has been approved or published for website visitors.
For example, a page may have completed simplified content while the controller is configured to require manual approval before publication.
In this case, the content contributes to the readiness figures even though it may not yet be accessible through the visitor-facing integration.
The publication behavior is controlled separately through the Workspace's automatic publication or review setting.
